Complete Tank System - Part 2 (Dry Version)
Part 2 of our all-in-one system to adjust Alkalinity and add critical trace elements, in a dry version. For the reef hobbyist desiring a simple, practical and cost-effective method. This product is intended to be used with part 1 of the system.
IDEAL ALKALINITY LEVELS
Suggested tank alkalinity levels for our product is 7-8 degrees of carbonate hardness (dkh), and 8-9 dkh as the upper threshold.
STARTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Shake the product well before using. Measure out 375 grams (4.5 level scoops) into a gallon of RO/DI water to create your solution. This solution can be kept in a separate container and used as needed or added to your doser.
2. Measure alkalinity levels and use the chart below to determine how to proceed.
Type Level Threshold Action
Alkalinity Below 7dKH Continue with instructions below
Within ideal range Start with a dosage that matches
(7-9 dkh) your calcium dosage in part 1
3. Shake the product well before using.
4. Dose: The recommended amount to add to reach your desired alkalinity can be calculated as follows:
(Desired Alkalinity - Current Alkalinity) x Tank Volume (gallons) x .72 = Solution in ml.
Example: To increase alkalinity in a 300 gallon tank by .5, use 0.5 x 300 gal x 0.72 = 108 ml
5. Maintain: Dose daily or weekly as needed, see maintenance instructions below.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
Each aquarium has unique alkalinity requirements. To determine the daily dosing rate for your alkalinity maintenance, measure the daily or weekly decrease, and calculate the alkalinity to add based on the above dosing formula.
